Student research with professional mentors. Mentors help choose your topic. Five departments. Three rounds.
The main goal of this event is to encourage students to explore real-world scientific challenges through research, collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation.
Students work in teams and use data science tools not as the primary subject, but as a means to collect, analyze, visualize, and improve their scientific ideas.

Topics are chosen with mentors. After registration, mentors in your department help select and refine the research topic for your team.
Mentors guide topic selection, then teams develop and present their research.
First round · 5 September 2026
Students form groups by department. Mentors meet groups online, help choose and refine topics, and guide research. Groups present the problem, data, approach, and solution.
Second round · 19 September 2026
Groups present improved projects in person. Mentors select the strongest team in each department to continue with guidance.
Final · 19 September 2026 (after 2nd)
Top teams present before the judging panel. Evaluated on originality, scientific reasoning, analysis quality, feasibility, and presentation.

Professional mentors support students by department. They help choose and refine research topics. Goal: about two mentors per department. Main judges will be added to the board when confirmed.
